Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Customization

Yes! We offer a wide range of custom options—sizes, colors, siding, roofing, doors, windows, lofts, porches, and interior upgrades. We can design your shed to match your style and needs. Click here to design your shed with our 3D Builder tool.

Permit requirements vary by county and city. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with local building authorities before installation. We’re happy to provide building specs to help with the permitting process.

Yes. We offer a full line of siding, trim, and roofing colors so your shed can match or complement your home. We can even custom color match if you have your paint code. A fee does apply to this service to thoroughly clean the paint spraying system before and after using your paint.

Yes, many customers upgrade their sheds for personal spaces. While we can customize sheds for these purposes, finishing work like plumbing and electrical must be performed by your contractors after delivery and meet local building codes.

We offer wood, vinyl, and metal siding options, along with asphalt shingle or metal roofing. All materials are designed for durability and low maintenance.

Delivery & Site Prep

Yes. We offer professional delivery and setup. Our team will level the shed (up to 2ft of slope) and place it where you want it, provided the site is prepared and accessible.

Delivery time is usually between 2–10 days for stock units and 5-6 weeks on custom orders. Special customization, weather, and holidays can affect build times and delivery scheduling. We’ll give you an estimated delivery window at the time of purchase.

Your site should be level, clear of obstacles, and accessible for a delivery truck and trailer. We recommend that you make sure that there are no low hanging branches or wires that will get caught on the top of the building. Gates, columns, or any path of travel should be at least 2ft wider than the shed that you purchase to allow for passage through the opening.

Smaller sheds are usually set on concrete blocks. A level gravel pad is ideal for proper drainage and longevity, but is not required. Concrete slabs are also an option, especially for garages or heavier structures.

Our sheds are delivered fully assembled. In cases where access is limited, we offer on-site construction for an additional fee.

Our delivery team can assess your site before placing the shed. If you think your space is too tight, we can do a free site survey. We will help recommend an alternate location, an on-site build or modifications to ensure a proper fit.

Payments & Financing

Yes. We provide affordable Rent-to-Own plans with no credit check, flexible monthly payments, and no early payoff penalties. This allows you to get the shed you need today without waiting.

Yes. In addition to RTO, we partner with financing companies to offer traditional loan options with low interest rates and flexible terms (subject to credit approval). Click here to be taken to our partner application.

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit/debit cards. Financing and Rent-to-Own are also available.

Shed Features & Upgrades

Standard sheds are not insulated, but insulation and interior finishing options are available for walls, ceilings and floors if you’re planning to use your shed as an office, studio, or cabin.

Yes. We offer customizable electrical packages for your building. Whether it is a simple plug box just to run a light from an extension cord, or a full 200 amp panel box, we can do that for you on a new custom build. (We do not make electrical tie-ins to a meter box or to another panel box on site. A licensed electrician will need to run power to the shed panel box from your primary source)

Our sheds are built to national standard code and exceed the normal wind and snow load ratings for VA. We use high-quality materials and construction methods. Anchoring is available for added stability in high-wind areas.

Yes. Sheds can be relocated using professional shed movers or our hauling service. Fees vary depending on distance, size and site conditions.

Products Beyond Sheds

Yes. In addition to sheds, we offer garages, Horse barns, chicken coops, dog kennels, greenhouses, playsets, playscapes, cabanas, pavilions, and metal carports/buildings.

Yes, we carry Vinyl Playsets in both residential and commercial grades. We also carry Playscapes for themed fun in the backyard.

Coming Soon!. Timber Ridge Sheds will offer portable storage unit rentals—delivered to your property for temporary storage. Monthly rental rates are competitive with national providers.

Warranty, Service & Policies

Our sheds include a manufacturer’s warranty that covers workmanship and materials. The length depends on the model and siding type—typically ranging from 5 years up to a limited lifetime warranty. Ask us for details on your model.

Yes, occasionally we have repossessed or display model sheds available at discounted prices. Inventory changes often, so click here to see what’s in stock.

Yes, we can remove and haul away your old shed before we deliver your new one if the delivery crew is confident that it will hold up to being moved out in one piece. If not, we can recommend a contractor that will demolish the building and haul away the debris. Ask us about pricing and availability for this service.

Our hours vary by season. Typically, we are open Monday–Friday, with extended hours during spring and summer. We also can meet you after hours and on weekends by appointment. Contact us or check our profile here for current hours.
